Lauren Horton is a Sunshine Coast–based painter whose work moves between representation and abstraction. Interested in the physical language of paint, she often begins with recognisable subjects—landscapes, botanicals or domestic scenes—and gradually simplifies them, removing detail until only the elements that carry feeling remain.

Lauren studied fine art at university level and has worked across creative industries including film and television production. Today she also helps lead Art School Co., where the creative management of people and ideas forms another part of her everyday creative life.

For Reverie, her collection Overflow gathers together paintings shaped by colour, pattern and an intuitive response to the things that catch her eye.
