Terms and Conditions:
By enrolling yourself or your child/ren into one of our classes, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.
We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. The most current version will apply from the date of publication.
ART CLASSES:
Places in these classes are only confirmed by subscribing as a student at Art School Co. Subscription is ongoing and will continue until cancelled in writing via email in accordance with the notice period outlined in these Terms.
Class sizes are strictly limited and we are unable to reserve places.
Any student who has not subscribed will be unable to attend the classes.
SUBSCRIPTIONS:
- Art Class enrolments are on an ongoing subscription basis or upfront payment method.
- Students may cancel anytime via email, after their first payment. Cancellations via text will not suffice.
- Subscription payments are debited from students' nominated bank accounts each fortnight via GoCardless.
- If a scheduled payment fails, Art School Co. will retry the payment the following week. Art School Co reserves the right to suspend attendance if multiple failed payments occur.
- Fortnightly debits will commence on the first week of the class start date.(eg. payment for the fortnight ahead)
- Starter Class subscription payments will come out the week prior to the class or as soon as signed up.
- Starter class upfront payments need to be made prior to the start of class or within your term fees.
- Subscriptions may be paused once per term for a maximum of four (4) consecutive weeks.
- Pauses must be taken in fortnightly blocks (2 or 4 weeks). Odd-week pauses are not permitted.

The total pause period must not exceed ten (10) weeks per calendar year. Anything more will be considered a cancellation.
- All cancellations / pausing of subscriptions must be notified via email, 1 week prior to the fortnightly billing period.
- If you have paid upfront for classes and wish to cancel, your cancellations will take effect from the following week. Refunds for unused classes will only be provided at our discretion.
- Refunds will not be issued where the required notice period (one week prior to the billing cycle) has not been provided.
- Students cannot attend classes when their subscription is paused (including make-up classes)
- Makeup classes can be used for missed classes within that particular term and won't roll-over to the following term/s

All subscription payments will automatically be put on hold during the school holidays.
- There is no need to re-enrol each term as enrolments are ongoing. Students paying via subscription will automatically roll over into the next term. Students paying upfront must ensure payment is made prior to each new term to secure their place.
WORKSHOPS:
Enrolment and full payment is required to secure a place in these workshops. Fees will vary and are non-refundable, except in the instance that the workshop is required to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, in which case a refund or credit will be provided.
CLASS CONDUCT:
Art School Co. is a shared space and we expect students to respect fellow artists, artwork and property. Discrimination on the grounds of a person’s age, race, sex, gender, sexuality, marital status, physical or intellectual disability, or religion will not be tolerated. Students deemed to be exhibiting inappropriate or disruptive behaviour may be removed, suspended or expelled from the class without refund. It should also be noted that cleaning of your art class space and common areas is a shared responsibility.

- We reserve the right to terminate an enrolment if there is an ongoing issue that has not been solved through communication.
Workshop fees will also vary depending on the type of workshop and the duration.
CANCELLATION BY ART SCHOOL CO:
Art School Co. reserves the right to amend any class, tutor or schedule. In such circumstances, we will endeavour to provide a substitute of equal standing. Should a class have to be cancelled due to insufficient enrolments, any student enrolled in that class will be contacted and an alternative class, credit or refund arranged.
Art School Co. will not be liable for cancellations or changes caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including illness, government restrictions or natural disasters.
REFUNDS AND TRANSFERS:
Please consider your class booking carefully before you enrol, as we do not offer refunds for change of mind. Refunds may be considered in exceptional circumstances (eg. serious illness) at the sole discretion of Art School Co. No refunds will be given for Starter Classes.
A term's classes cannot be deferred to another term.
Transfers are available in some classes provided there is availability.
In the event you cannot attend a workshop you may send someone else in your place. Notification must be received prior to the class.
CLASSES:
We encourage all students to bring their water bottles for use during class. Please ensure that they are named. We will provide some snacks. BYO food is permitted.
Students should arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. Students are required to sign in each week and fill in a name tag. Parents of Primary School Classes are required to sign their child in and out of the class. The responsibility of your child remains with you until the class has started.
Pick up is required within 5 minutes of the class finish time. Children who are not picked up will be asked to remain in the waiting area for their parent/guardian. If you are arranging for someone other than yourself to pick up your child please notify Art School Co. at the beginning of the class. Please reiterate to your child that they must remain on the Art School Co. property until their parent/guardian has picked them up.
CLASS ABSENCES:
If you/your child are unable to attend a class, there is no need to let us know unless it’s for a few weeks in a row, then you are able to put your subscription on hold. If you pay upfront for classes and miss a class you can do this as a catch up class within the term.
If you or your child has been too unwell to attend work or school, you should not attend art class. We appreciate this courtesy to avoid the spread of illness to other students and staff.
Make-Up classes can be made during the current Term you are enrolled in by attending another class (subject to availability). There is no need to contact us about make-up classes, just come along and we will do our best to fit you in. Please make sure to check in with a teacher when attending a makeup class and before sitting down as students enrolled in that class will receive priority.
SUPPLIES:
The majority of art supplies are included in the tuition fee. Any additional supplies individual students want may be purchased at our store.
DRESS CODE:
There is no dress code however we do recommend that all students ‘dress for mess’. We cannot be held responsible for any clothing that gets damaged during art classes. You / your child will feel more relaxed to explore and create if you / they are not concerned with worry over messy clothes.
We recommend school students bring a change of clothes and don’t wear their school uniform.
PHOTOGRAPHY:
From time to time we take photos during class of students and artworks. These photos are used for Art School Co’s promotional purposes such as press advertising, brochures, social media, editorials and website. These photos will never be sold and will be used exclusively by and for Art School Co. By enrolling, you provide consent for photography for promotional purposes unless you notify us in writing that you wish to opt out.
PERSONAL PROPERTY:
We cannot be held responsible for any personal property you or your child brings onto the premises, and we cannot be liable for any loss or damage to such property. For this reason, we recommend that students do not bring any valuables/precious items to class.
ARTWORK:
We will endeavour to have all artwork returned to students as soon as possible and encourage students to take their work home each week. Due to storage restrictions we cannot keep any unclaimed artwork after the end of term.
MEDICAL/REQUIREMENTS:
While we take reasonable care, Art School Co. accepts no liability for medical incidents where required information has not been disclosed. Please advise us of any requirement that you/your child has in regards to allergies/medications. In case of emergency, please ensure that the phone number you provide is available for contact for the duration of the class.
If you have any other requirements that may assist us in teaching you, please feel free to advise us prior to the start of class.
LIABILITY
Participation in classes, workshops and activities is at your own risk. While Art school Co. takes reasonable care in conducting its programs, to the extent permitted by law we exclude liability for any injury, loss or damage arising from participation in classes or use of our premises.
GIFT VOUCHERS:
Gift vouchers are not transferable for cash and once issued cannot be refunded. Gift vouchers may be used towards holiday workshops or art supplies. Gift vouchers cannot be used toward weekly classes.
DISCOUNT OFFERS:
Any discounts offered by Art School Co are subject to availability and may have individual terms and conditions applied.
NDIS STUDENTS:
We are not an approved NDIS provider. Participants are responsible for ensuring their funding arrangements comply with the NDIS requirements. If a student needs a carer that carer must also enrol in the classes as we have limited seating. We do not provide carer/support worker discounts. NDIS Students don’t subscribe like regular students, we will invoice them each quarter. You must still provide us with written notice of your cancellation.
ENTIRE AGREEMENT:
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Art School Co.
By enrolling, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Art School Co. reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will apply to all enrolments from the date of publication.
