Grace Lilian Bentley is an emerging artist based on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. Working primarily in oil paint and gouache, she explores a fascination with the natural world—people and places—through small-scale works that experiment with the capture and reflection of light. Her current practice involves painting directly onto bright copper panels, allowing areas of the surface to remain exposed so the surrounding light activates and animates the work.

Grace holds a BFA in filmmaking and has worked as a fine art teacher and mentor at Art School Co for the past seven years, supporting emerging creatives. She has exhibited nationally and internationally and paints out of her small seaside studio in Mudjimba on the Sunshine Coast.
