We love building on kids' wild imaginations and fearless creativity with practical art making skills. In this workshop we will be creating large scale drawings in charcoal. It'll be messy & fun!

Teaching covered will include:

• Perspective drawing - how to accurately draw what you see.
• Tone - how to create form and make your art look 3D
• Charcoal materials - powder, willow, pencil, compressed, and white charcoal pencil
• Use of drawing tools - mechanical eraser, blending stump
• Specific charcoal techniques - powder application, building tone, gradients, pulling back highlights

It is a requirement for this workshop that kids to be able to concentrate for 4 hours (with a half hour lunch break) so please keep that in mind when booking your child in.

BYO Lunch and water bottle - Morning tea will be provided.

- If you are unable to attend this workshop & give less than 7 days notice you can ask for a credit to be used at future workshops at the school to equal or lesser value. If of greater value the difference must be paid. Please contact hello@artschoolco.com if you are unable to attend.

- Workshop credit cannot be used towards term classes or the store.
